Race in the beautiful Cowichan Valley!
The Cowichan Challenge takes place at Fuller Lake Park in Chemainus. The race has a friendly, relaxed vibe just the like the community where it takes place
The swim is in the calm waters of Fuller Lake. The bike course follows scenic country roads in the Cowichan Valley. The run is on trails in the Municipal Forest adjacent to Fuller Lake.
Race Distances
Standard Course – 1500m swim – 40K bike – 10K run
2024 BC Sprint Triathlon Championships
The Sprint race at the Cowichan Challenge is the 2024 British Columbia Sprint Triathlon Provincial Championships. The winner of each age group will be crowned BC Sprint Age Group Champion.

Qualify for the World Triathlon Sprint Triathlon World Championships
The 2024 Cowichan Challenge is a qualifier for the 2025 World Sprint Triathlon Championships in Wollongong, Australia. There will be one spot available in each gender age group for the World Triathlon Sprint Championships awarded at the sprint distance race.
